Master Blaster and The Wall does it again

The master blaster showed his excellence yet another time. Another test, Another century! That's what he is providing his fellow fans. And when he has the partnership of "The Wall of Indian Batting" along with him on the other end, what else could block him? Sachin Tendulkar seems to be going non-stop. Its good news for the Indian fans around the world. The Master is in good touch. What a marvelously carved century! Dravid too scored a century and seemed to be going all well, till a Shahadat Hossain bouncer that smashed into the side of his face. Their combined effort has placed India into a very well and secured place in the match.

Bowlers give India an upper Hand

It was an impressive performance by the Indian bowlers. The Indian pace duo of Zaheer and Ishant shared 7 of the Bangladesh wickets among themselves. Together, they put on pressure on the Bangladesh batsmen. The only highlight of the Bangladesh innings was the batting performance of Mahmudullah. He remained unbeaten by the Indian bowlers at a personal score of 96 runs. He was impressive with his bat, although he could not manage to get to that hundred run mark.

Manchester Rolls over, behind Rooney

Wayne Rooney scored 4 goals in a match to take the reigning Champions Manchester United, to the top of the Premier League. On the basis of Rooney's goals, Manchester United defeated Hull for a margin of 4 goals to nill. On the eighth minute itself Rooney beat the Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill, latching onto the rebound after a shot from Paul Scholes was parried. But even with the goal from Rooney in the initial phase, Manchester seemed to be fighting a lot in the game. It was in the last ten minutes that Rooney scored three more goals to take the score to 4. His tally for the season is 20 now, with this performance.

Australia victorious in the first ODI

Australia, yet another time proved massive to be defeated. Australia bet Pakistan in the first one day match at Brisbane. The Pakistan cricket team might've had a sigh of relief when they got rid of Ricky Ponting in the 18th over itself, leaving Australia struggling at 84 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. But there onwards Cameron White took over the control. His partnerships with Michael Clarke and Hussey took Australia to a much decent victory.

India Vs Bangladesh, First Test Match - A summary

India finished off the Bangladesh innings at 242, leading by one run. The Bangladesh team seemed to be troubled facing the Indian Bowling attack. It was a Medium pacer show, in the Bangladesh first innings. In their tour to Bangladesh, for the first time, Indian bowling was highlighted apart from the fact that Sreesanth and Mishra had 12 no-balls to be shared between them.

INDIA V IRELAND 20 20 WORLD CUP

The Algerian "Draw" Theory

Algeria Football team coach Rabah Saadane admitted that he and his team were actually playing for a draw against Angola, since they knew that they would go through into the next round in the Africa Cup of Nations. This has cost Mali, who, despite a victory against Malawi lost their chance to advance in the tournament. Saadane was quoted saying "We had the rules and knew that if Mali won, we would go through. So we said to our players: 'Now stop. Either score or draw - absolutely minimum." to the team, when they were sure of the spot.

Unmatched Brilliance

India Vs Bangladesh, First Test Match - First Innings summary

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, the name written with gold in the history of Indian cricket. The Little master once again proved his worth by scoring a very brilliant and marvelous century to guide the Indian Cricket team to post a score for Bangladesh to chase. Look at him man, he is 36 and yet his hunger for runs hasn't stopped. That's the classic little master of India. Nothing can stop Sachin from scoring runs if he decides, that's what a fellow Indian Cricket fan might think when he sees the match.

Srilanka Won Triangular Series, the pitch retained its Name!

Once again, it was the same result in this pitch. Right from the beginning, it was supporting the team who batted second. It kept its legacy in the finals too. When it joined the Srilankan team's luck and habit of winning in triangular series finals, there was hardly any chance for the Indian team in the field. But Indian team and Suresh Raina in particular, can be proud of a competent failure.

The Kohli Show!

Splendid! Not more about Virat Kohli. As Sports Affairs already mentioned, these youngsters are proving out to be assets for the team. Amongst the Indian batsmen, Virat stood tall with a marvellously earned hundred. While the other batsmen were looking quite sloppy with their bats, Virat Kohli was in no mood to give up the chance. He took over and finished up a very matured looking hundred.

Dhoni rescues India again

Impressive! Such elegant was Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the duo of Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina with their bat. Yet another time the India Captian Mahendra Singh Dhoni displayed his credibility with his bat and sailed the Indian Cricket Team to a well comfortable victory. Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina helped him in his course of rescue. Batting in pressure situations is being a habit for these young cricketers. Now and they come into the crease when the team is under immense pressure, keep their head cool, bat impressively and flawlessly finish off with victory secured. These young men are turning out to be very valuable assets for the team as well as the country. What else do the captain need more? Well a good bowling support is what India misses this time.

The champions Barcelona had their upset very early in 2010 itself. Sevilla beat the reigning champions Barcelona by 2 Goals to 1, in their last 16 tie on Tuesday. Nuo Camp will be a good memory for Diego Capel and Alvaro Negredo of Sevilla, where they scored for the first time in 2010 leading the team to victory.

Well Played, Srilanka

Not a very well compiled victory. Yet, Sangakkara would be a happy man. Srilanka, finally proved to be the better team, holding their nerves in pressure situations. All credits to Thilan Samaraveera for his wonderfully carven century and also some last minute heroics from Thissara Perera, which fixed up the match in Srilanka's favour. It was really wonderful to watch Thilan Samaraveera scoring his second ODI career Century. More interesting, is the fact that his previous best score against India was a mere 16 in seven ODI matches. He has proved his calibre by getting through testing situation in adverse conditions.

Flawless Victory for Lankans

Tilakaratne Dilshan was fabulous in 2009, he made it better by starting 2010 scoring a wonderful century (104 runs of just 122 balls) in the first ODI match in the Tri-Series. He is absolutely proving to be a certain match winner for the Srilankan team. Chasing a total of 260, Srilanka were totally under control till they finished off, winning the match in style and honour. Winning the Tri-Series Opener, Something for Srilanka and Sangakkara to be proud of! Sangakkara can walk in confidently for tomorrow's match with India. They seem to be a team with full confidence.
