The Kohli Show!

Splendid! Not more about Virat Kohli. As Sports Affairs already mentioned, these youngsters are proving out to be assets for the team. Amongst the Indian batsmen, Virat stood tall with a marvellously earned hundred. While the other batsmen were looking quite sloppy with their bats, Virat Kohli was in no mood to give up the chance. He took over and finished up a very matured looking hundred.

The Bangladesh batsmen seemed to have given up the hopes of a comforting victory before even coming to bat. Their top order batsmen were competing to gift their wickets to the Indian bowlers, who were more than happy to accept them. This continued till the captain Shakib Al Hasan was joined by Mahmudullah to take Bangladesh score into a something near a 250. It was absolutely a captain's innings from Shakib. He was leading from the front, and guided Mahmudullah too till he was caught out by Dhoni off an Ashish Nehra ball. Mahmudullah is turning to be a very good batsman match by match. The Bangladesh team is growing more and more dependency on him, atleast in this tri-series, he's been a consistent performer for the side. He seems to be eligible for a better spot. The Bangladesh team management and the captain needs to think more about the same. It's always necessary to give better chance to a player who's in top of his form, and the real fact is that Mahmudullah is really a deserving contestent for a place in the top order. This could boost up the performance of the team as a whole.

The Indian team had a good start, provided by the openers Gambhir and Karthik. But they seemed to be easing away looking into their shots. Karthik again showed his confidence and terriffic form that he is in, but yet again failed to continue the form into a big score. This is where Virat Kohli succeeded. He seems to have learnt from his past mistakes, and also looks to be very much thirsty for runs. This is the basic quality that any batsman needs in his career. You can take the example of the little master. At this age and after such a long career too, he seems to be so hungry for runs that he runs for each single chance that comes his way. Great batsmen are not born to be, they construct their careers in such a way. That instinct seems to be flicking in Virat as well. Well done, Virat! You continue batting well and making such good scores.

Apart from the innings from Virat Kohli, one interesting fact of the game was the catches dropped by Ashraful. A rare thing to see off someone from the Bangladesh team. Good Luck Dhoni, for the toss in the finals. Because it is seeming to be playing the most important fact in the game, rather than the batting or bowling talents.
