Top Websites for Live Cricket Score

If you are among the unfortunate ones to miss the Live cricket on the field and the TV, you can still track your favourite matches ball by ball on Internet. Although there are a number of websites providing scores, I have found following ones to be the best in the lot:

West Indies v India - Cricket World Cup 2007 Warm-Up Match

Cricinfo: ESPNcricinfo is the most popular website on cricket. It provides good quality match reviews, pictures and news about the cricket apart from the ball-by-ball commentary of ongoing cricket match.

Cricbuzz: The update of Live score is very fast on this website. It also tracks the current happening in the world of cricket.

Cricket Nirvana: This is relatively young and is picking up fast. I personally don’t find this at par with the first two in the list.

Cricketnext: This website is owned by Network18 team. This is also good and updates Live scores fast.

Apart from these you may find Live cricket scores on most of the news websites as well. Those are rediff.com, indiatimes.com etc. These, however, do not provide commentary and also does not update the score as fast as cricinfo or cricbuzz do.

Streaming Live videos are also possible on Internet. I do not recommend this as streaming videos chokes away good amount of bandwidth. Also, if you are tracking the match fom your office, streaming videos may conflict the IT policies of your organization. Streaming has a lag of almost 10-15 minutes. You will get faster updates on text only commentary on the websites.

Henceforth, don’t worry if you are not able to reach home in time to get the current status of any match. Just hook up to any of the websites mentioned above and enjoy the cricket Live! I have done it at many occasions and it is really exciting!
