Unmatched Brilliance

India Vs Bangladesh, First Test Match - First Innings summary

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, the name written with gold in the history of Indian cricket. The Little master once again proved his worth by scoring a very brilliant and marvelous century to guide the Indian Cricket team to post a score for Bangladesh to chase. Look at him man, he is 36 and yet his hunger for runs hasn't stopped. That's the classic little master of India. Nothing can stop Sachin from scoring runs if he decides, that's what a fellow Indian Cricket fan might think when he sees the match.

The Bangladesh bowlers turned out to be too good for most of the Indian batsmen, not Tendulkar. Apart from Virender Sehwag, no one other than Sachin was able to make more than 25 runs. Viru stood second with 52 runs against his name. Pathetic was the case with the Indian top-order batsmen. Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman seemed to be in the inertia of their long rest. Both of them got out before even seeing double digit scores. The Bangladesh bowling and fielding has been very tight and good to watch. They were brilliant in the field. Another important fact about the innings was that all the 10 Indian wickets were equally shared among Shahadat Hossain and Shakib Al Hassan. Bangladesh managed to wind up the Indian innings to a bare minimum of 243 runs.

Whatever be the situation, Sachin Tendulkar seemed to be unmoved! He stood tall and went ahead scoring a mind blowing hundred runs. Nothing could conquer the Little Master and the confidence, every Indian rests on his shoulders. He scored a total of 105 runs with eleven boundaries and two sixers. The match, although boring with a lousy Indian batting performance, gained interest due to Sachin's bat! Sorry Ricky, Sachin's in no mood to lose his record!
